LPN Medical Surgical Position

Schedule

4x12 DAY shifts (07:00 - 19:00), with weekend requirements every other weekend.

Job Description

The LPN will provide nursing care to medical-surgical patients, supporting an RN, while managing patient assignments within an acute care setting. Responsibilities include vital signs monitoring, medication administration, wound care, and effective communication with healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications via various routes (oral, IM, SQ, NG/G-tube, ear, and eye drops)
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient pain levels
• Manage feeding tubes and Foley catheter insertions
• Provide basic wound care and monitor for any changes in patient status
• Maintain effective communication with RNs and MDs regarding patient needs
• Participate in floating within the skillset as required

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Single State LPN license required
• BLS certification required
• At least 1 year of acute care experience within the last 2 years
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory
