Job Description

The CT Technologist provides professional, timely, and accurate diagnostic C-T examinations of specific anatomy as prescribed by the referring physician, in compliance with established policies and procedures. The technologist is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures including head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, and extremities.
• Conduct basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services.
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic radiographs for interpretation by the radiologist.
• Maintain knowledge of CT system processing, surgical/sterile procedures, and contrast media studies.
• Provide care to patients during CT examinations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CT and X-ray.
• ARRT certification in CT is required.
• State licensure as a general radiographer.
