Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Travel RN to join our Blood Cancer Unit specializing in oncology. This unit consists of 18 beds and is staffed by a dedicated team focused on providing exceptional care to oncology patients and those with chronic conditions. The successful candidate will engage in various nursing interventions, primarily focusing on managing acute hematology patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, blood, and electrolyte replacements.
• Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies, and thoracentesis.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
• Monitor and support oncology patients through treatment and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have experience in oncology nursing.
• Quick learner, compassionate towards oncology patient population.
• Chemo and biotherapy certification preferred, as handling hazardous drugs will be part of the role.
• Experience with step down care and standing orders will be considered an advantage.
