Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:30 - 07:00). Options for 36 or 48 hours per week.

Job Description

The Med Surg unit is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their night shift team. This role involves caring for stroke patients and surgical patients, with telemetry monitoring technology available around the clock. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Floating to similar units may be required based on facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Performing patient assessments and developing care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitoring and recording patient vital signs and responses.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Med Surg setting.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with patient ratios of 6:1 preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
