Registered Nurse - Med/Tele - Night Shift

Schedule

Nights - 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with day-night rotation. Available 36 and 48 hours per week, requiring 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least 1 holiday per contract.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care in the Med/Tele Complex Care unit. The role requires expertise in acute medical-surgical and telemetry nursing with a focus on effectively addressing patient needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals in the Med/Tele unit.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding healthcare needs.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
• Be flexible and willing to float to other units as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York RN license.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.
• AHA BLS certification.
