Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. He/She is accountable for the care given to assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in patient clinical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care using the nursing process.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Guide patient/family teaching and manage activities of nursing personnel.
• Monitor patient clinical condition and communicate with physicians regarding changes.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or treatment response.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
