Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and abnormal symptoms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross).
• Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross).
• Minimum of 1 year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, critical care experience preferred.
