Outpatient Physical Therapist
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients, developing and implementing treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician directives. This role involves the delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that enable effective return to community activities.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to establish appropriate treatment plans and goals aimed at progressing patients towards discharge.
- Document patient care in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
- Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approval parameters.
- Participate in student training programs, providing a positive learning environment.
- Engage in continuous professional development through education and involvement in professional activities.
- Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
- Understand and contribute to performance improvement initiatives within the organization.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active applicable license for the State where work will be performed.
Schedule
This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
